AbbotabadEstablished in 1853 by the British officer Major General James Abbott, Abbottabad is a popular hill station with pleasant weather, breathtaking vistas and several prestigious educational institutions.

Good infrastructure, civic amenities and plenty of vacant land has made investing in Abbottabad a lucrative option. 

Here are three prime residential areas in Abbottabad that are attracting investment: 

1. Bilal Town is located on Kakol Road. It is a well-planned residential area, located in proximity to several educational institutions (including Army Burn Hall Girls School and College, Pakistan Military Academy and FG Piffer High School) and recreational avenues (including Abbottabad Golf Club, AMC Cinema Hall and PCB Cricket Ground). Upscale shopping districts (including those located on Karakoram Highway and Cantt Market) and popular eateries (including Madonna Hotel and Restaurant and Sarban Hotel) are nearby.

Plot sizes: 125, 250, 500, 1,000 and 1,500 square yards.
Purchase price range: Rs 28,000-40,000 per square yard.
Monthly rental range: Rs 80-100 per square yard. 

2. Habibullah Colony is located on PMA Link Road and is Abbottbad’s most upscale and well-maintained residential area, with medical facilities and educational institutions. Popular eateries include Mr Cod, Nawab’s and New Sardar Hotel. Several commercial areas are located there and the PMA Bypass Road is easily accessible.

Monthly rental range: Rs 100-140 per square yard.

3. Jinnahabad is located on Javaid Shahid Road. It is a quiet, well-planned residential area. The Jinnahabad Children’s Park – a popular recreational spot – is located there, as are several upscale commercial pockets, including those on the Karakoram Highway and Jadoon Plaza Road. Popular eateries include Gloria Jean’s and Mahi Sea Food.
