Due to a shortage of large plots of vacant land in the metropolitan cities of Pakistan, several agricultural, residential and industrial developments are being established along the country’s primary highways. Plots available there vary in size, ranging between one and 100 acres. They are, however, good investment opportunities and some are sold at subsidised rates.
Here are four highways in Pakistan where large plots are available:
1. Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1) links Islamabad to Peshawar and further to Afghanistan. Plots are suitable for agricultural purposes (due to proximity to cold storage facilities and vegetable markets) and industrial use (due to proximity to Peshawar Dry Port, a railway station and airport.)
Facilities include: Canal irrigation systems, drainage systems, electricity, gas, sewerage and water.
Plot sizes range between: 10 and 500 acres.
Purchase price range: Rs 0.2-1.5 million per acre.
2. Multan Road connects Lahore to Multan. Plots are suitable for agricultural, industrial and residential development. Proximity to major urban markets, dry ports and railway stations are an added advantage. Continue reading
