It is only May and summer is in full swing, causing problems for women with oily skin. Using a moisturiser (even the light, water-based ones) is a complete no-no but you cannot do away with moisturising entirely. Here are three simple, homemade face masks that can help. And as it is Mother’s Day, you can use them for some extra special (yet inexpensive) pampering.
Banana bliss: Mash a medium ripe banana and apply it to your face and neck for 10 to 20 minutes; rinse off with cold water. Not only will this help moisturise, it will also leave your skin softer. Add a quarter cup of yoghurt for a natural bleaching effect and two tablespoons of honey (a natural humectant, it naturally attracts and retains moisture).
