When the mercury soars, mustering an appetite can be challenging even for adults, and children will need extra motivation to eat. Here are some ‘cool’ ideas for healthy snacks that will give both children and adults some good reasons to eat. Oh, and since the kids are going to be on holiday, why not get them to help with the preparations?
Ice cream sandwiches. Okay, so you are probably thinking ice cream sandwiches are not healthy! But they do not have to be unhealthy either. Bake up a batch of raisin and oatmeal cookies (make sure you make the cookies nice and large). Once they are cool, take a cookie, add a scoop of ice cream (any flavour will work but chocolate or vanilla pair perfectly with these cookies) on top, and sandwich with another cookie.
